Doctoral Internship Program in Professional Psychology
Application Requirements
Enrolled in and in good standing at an accredited doctoral level graduate program in clinical or counseling psychology.
Completion of all Doctoral training requirements prior to beginning Internship including advancement to candidacy and successful defense of dissertation proposal.
APPIC Application (APPI - Online) submitted by November 15. National Matching Services, Inc. and APPIC policies and deadlines are also applicable.
If selected for interview, a State of Florida Employment Application must be completed and submitted to the Training Director before the interview can be scheduled. The application can be found here. The application is in PDF format. Most applicants find it easiest to print, complete and then fax the application to the Training Director at (813) 780-0126. . If selected for interview, you may be required to send a hardcopy of your Official Graduate Transcripts to the Training Director. (Official transcripts must be received before applicants will be ranked in the Match).
Proof of professional liability insurance for the entire internship year (beginning July 1 and ending June 30) is required for employment and must be provided prior to the start of internship.
We are a law enforcement agency. As such, employment is contingent upon a security clearance and full disclosure in your application of any criminal charges, arrests or convictions. Individuals with Felony arrests may not be eligible.
Only applicants who participate in APPIC Match can be matched with our program. All of our positions will be offered in Phase I of the Match and we abide by all APPIC Match Policies.
